Angel London is a London based artist with over a decade of experience, celebrated for his evocative and whimsical paintings.

He has built a global collector base captivated by his exploration of grief and healing through art. 

 

For Angel, nothing provokes artistic sensibility like grief, many of us are blind to the realities of loss and mourning until we're confronted with loss head-on. For centuries, artists have turned to their work to address feelings of anger, confusion, fear, sadness, hope and love. Whilst no painting, photograph or object can ever mend the holes that materialise in our hearts, Angel found art to address the loss of his daughter and to begin his healing process.

 

Angels work reflects the trajectory from dark to light, and is drawn to the play on darkness behind whatever he is working on by understanding and embracing the beauty on either side.

 

Through the use of symbolism and pop culture references, Angel primarily creates mixed media pieces on upcycled materials using various painting methods, including traditional oil painting, ceramics, charcoal sketches and painted children's book illustrations.
